Rumoured to have originated in Italy in the early 20th Century, this cocktail has definitely made a comeback 100-years on. This aperitif is the ultimate palate cleanser, combining bitter Campari with sweet vermouth to create a well-balanced cocktail. We like to have one after a meal to settle the stomach too.
30ml Suffolk Dry Gin
30ml sweet red vermouth
Simply pour each spirit into an old-fashioned short tumbler filled with ice and stir vigorously with a cocktail stirrer to slightly dilute the spirits with the melting ice. Squeeze in a slice of orange, rind-side down to ensure both the juice and oils soak into the spirits.
